You can not go faster than speed of light

This is untrue because speed of light is a measurable velocity that can be surpassed. If it takes a light from a supernova happening in distant galaxy to reach us in certain light years there is no reason why an alien spaceship starting at the same time as the supernova happened from the same point of origin to be not able to reach us before the light from the supernova reaches us. It might sound very difficult to build a machine that surpasses light speed, but it is definitely not impossible.

Speed of Light is Constant i.e. light can not be pushed to go faster i.e. you can not add more energy to speed up light

What you can use to push something depends on the property of that something. You can not push water with your hand and expect the river to travel faster. You might however use a mug to throw still water and be able to add velocity to it. Two aspects emerge from this. You have to be able to contain (mug) and then add energy behind it (throw). For light, a matter like the mug won’t work to contain it. You need something that can contain light and not just produce it. A theoretical mug where you can keep light and put a lid on. When you open the lid, then you should be able to see the light inside. Can you do something similar with another wave such as sound? No we can’t do it for sound either. Can we speed up sound? No. Can we amplify sound? Yes we can do that with a bigger speaker. Can we amplify light? We can indeed use a bigger torch. So how do we contain sound in a box or light in a box. Or let’s ask why can’t we contain waves in a box? Why light can not be accelerated is a wrong question to ask since we have not found way to contain it for us to be able to add speed behind it by adding our energy with it.

Space Time contracts to keep the speed of light constant

Since speed of light is not known to be constant, hence this question does not hold water. But for arguments sake, let us think about light speed to be not something that we can accelerate with force applied simply because we have not yet learnt how to contain it. The argument made by Einstein talks about the concept where speed of light is constant and hence space and time must change themselves to compensate the other things speeding up. From practical experience, we generally feel that this is not what happens. But again, for arguments sake, let us consider, we don’t feel it but it indeed happens. Okay so then what are they saying that happens. You are driving a car, car has a headlight, light emits from headlight. Car speeds up but the light does not. Lets say car moves at speed same as light speed, light emitted from headlight of car should then have its own speed + speed of car by the logic of how relative speed works. Which means light should now have 2x speed of light. But that does not happen. Light still travels at its own speed because we earlier agreed that light speed remains constant at all situations. So, Einstein said that in order to reduce the 2x speed of light by 1/2 i.e. to make it the same speed as the normal light speed, the other two metrics of measurement of speed has to change. Speed = distance/time. So if 2x Speed has to become 1x Speed then it has to have change happening on the other side of equation. Lets say normal speed of light is x. A car moving at light speed should change the speed of light emitting from the headlight of the moving car. then the speed of light should ideally be 2x. But it does not happen. speed of light remains x even if car moves at light speed. Since 2x speed is never attained by light, hence Einstein proposed that the space and time – the two other variables must join hands and be doing something to make the light speed remain constant. And so he said, the space and time work together to make this happen. Hence space and time both are dynamic. Hence space and time changes when you travel at light speed. Space contracts to reduce distance and time slows down to increase amount of time taken to cover distance. Since time slows down if you keep going at light speed for about an year, you should be somewhat younger than the people who have not been travelling at light speed.

Okay – now that the story is over, lets talk what I believe

1. Light can not be contained and hence cannot be sped up
2. We have not figured out how to speed up light but that does not mean light speed can not be accelerated
3. If we travel at light speed, we cover more distance at a shorter period of time.
4. Light is not accelerating hence no question of changing anything that does not get addressed by normal physics

Wrong assumption is that the light is indeed accelerating but effect of acceleration is getting neutralized by space and time. Light is not accelerating because we don’t know how to contain light for giving it the push it needs for acceleration

Time is a dimension

Time is a measurement technique that measures change of state for everything in world through an abstracted measurement of imaginary units based on sunlight availability on earth. Time is not an dimension of matter as it does not reside on the body of element. Time is often confused with change of state of matter which is a real dimension of element.

State of Change as Dimension

Height, Width and Depth – the 3 dimensions go through a continuous change process. This continuous change process is a dimension by itself that differs from element to element based on composition of element. The rate of change or change velocity is the 4th dimension of every element. It is a measurable real quantifiable data associated with every element.

Change velocity is always relative as it is measured by human beings who always are measuring the change against a relative constant. such as the platform being constant to the train moving past it. or another example can be movement of earth relative to relative constant stationary position of sun to measure an year. or measurement of day by observing movement of sun against a relatively constant stationary earth. Or measurement of an hour by observing movement of shadows against a relatively constant stationary ground. Egyptians used number 12 as the number of total divisions one can do of the duration of daylight and darkness of night – total 12 for daylight, 12 for night. Babylonians further used 60 as the number to further divide an hour into minutes and 60 as the number again for dividing a minute into seconds. Nothing changes if you start dividing day into 100 as the division mechanism. You can divide 24 hours into 100 newhours and then each newhour into 100 newminutes and each newminute into 100 newseconds. we can create a conversion table if we want as well. Time by itself is a man made creation for ease of defining past present and future. Past being before now and future being after now while now itself being a constantly moving pointer through the day jumping from one second to another with respect to passage of daylight on earth.

Time does not exist where change does not exist and hence change and time are one and the same. Lets say you are the only element in the world and you are thrown in a black dark world where you are floating on blank space. You will have nothing to reference or create a relation with to measure a change. You wont be able to see yourself. Your senses wont work because there is nothing to touch, nothing to taste, nothing to see, nothing to hear, nothing to smell. How do you measure time then? How do you feel time then? You may be able to touch yourself and feel the aging of your skin which is change of state for your body. Lets say I take that away from you. I take away your ability to touch, taste, see, hear and smell and throw you in dark empty space. You will feel time but how? because you have your brain still functioning. You have been trained from childhood to measure time. Your brain will have thoughts and the passage of thoughts will create the sense of past, now and future. Let me take away your ability to think. Now? You will loose any sense of past present and future. Does that mean time will stop? Your body will still go through changes and that will be the passage of time from your past to your future through your now. And when you have completely decayed in a black dark empty world? There is nothing called time because there is no change. the black and dark represents the very fact that we always measure time relative to reflected lights from objects and if black dark world does not have it then there is nothing to see and reference against. empty world represents the fact that we need other objects to reference against, which if does not exist, we wont be able to tell time. Time does not exist by itself. Space time is a combined component because change of shape of space is the reality of time which is the 4th dimension of every element. Einstein got this right. Time = rate of change in shape for an element can be different for every element. The rate of change of shape for earth is measured through change of position of sun against a relatively stationary earth.

So now that we understand continuous change of state is the 4th dimension, question is how do we traverse this 4th dimension. lets say we have a house of cards, and the blowing wind blows away this house of cards. Can we reverse time? If you are measuring time as measurement of sunlight movement against stationary earth, it would be difficult. How about measuring time against the change of state of the house built with cards. Rearranging the cards will indeed reverse this measurement of time.

When we talk about the travelling through time what is our way of deciding whether we are able to travel through time or not? There are obviously two directions. Future and past. Future travel is when you are able to slow down time compared to others. Others will age at a rate faster than you. Others will change state at a rate faster than you. For that to happen you need to change at a different rate than other elements similar to you. In my understanding that is not possible without changing the element you are built with. A drop of water can vaporize faster than a drop of molten iron if other conditions remain constant. A drop of water can not evaporate faster than another drop of water if other conditions remain constant. Past is a different case though. Past has happened. And hence can be reversely traced back against each action that happened in the past.

Rolling back the present of an element is the travel to the past for that element. If you consider the house of cards as that element then rearranging them back is our traversal to the past but then the state of change would also be present in the state of the elements called cards at a very microscopic decay of element level. If all the decays and changes can be tracked and reversed then the traversal to the past will be absolute for that element.

Lets now look at it with an example that we will be able to relate as an experience of travelling back in past. What if you grow old as a result of continuous change of state and by reversing the changes in state, we are able to reverse age for you? What is human age if not measurement of change of state of alive body against the original state at birth to final state of lifeless body? Measurement of age in terms of years is with reference to sunlight on earth. Measurement of age in terms of stage of life – childhood, teenage, young adult age, middle age and old age is measurement with respect and relative to stationary original self at childhood. We take the stage at birthdate as the stationary origin.

Would you consider growing younger as a reversal of present to past? For your body it is so. But for all people and all objects surrounding you, it is not reversal of present to past. They continue to remain in present. Now realize that we are able to rearrange your molecules back to your self state in past, your brain will also reset to that past self. And when we have reset you to that past point without changing your surroundings, your past self will suddenly feel like travelling into future where suddenly everything around him will change to a future that is currently present. Remember your brain has been reset at molecular level to your past. So everything present at the past is still a fresh sense of now in your brain with memory of immediate past still fresh in memory such as date on the morning newspaper. Since surroundings will change to present, which is future for your past, you will feel the sudden arrival in future. You will loose all sense of present time and only remember events of that past point. Everything around you will feel new and from future. This is how I envisage for possibility of travelling to future.

Then we can again rearrange you to your actual present self. which will have no memory of travelling to past because the information of your past self is not available anymore with your current self as we have recreated you at molecular level. Going back in past is possible without current memory and coming back to present is possible without past memory. Recreating your past self and bringing that self to present is possible but not as a duplicate but as a molecular restructuring of current self only.

How do you then travel to past with your current memory? You have to become the stationary object while the surrounding needs to revert the continuous state changes. How do you achieve that. First lets understand how to revert any change of state for any object. Lets talk about the house of cards again.

The house of cards has a certain configuration. 5 triangles at base made up of 10 marked cards, 4 triangles above it made up of 8 more marked cards, 3 triangles above it made up of 6 more marked cards, 2 triangles above it made up of 4 marked cards, 1 triangle at top made up of 2 marked cards. Since cards are marked and you have noted down previous configuration, you can rebuild it. We need to similarly be able to note down the configuration of everything, note down every change happening on it.

The database to store all versions of configuration is the configuration database that is version controlled. Every change in configuration is recorded through tracking of continuous state change with each change creating a new version of configuration. If you can create this system of versioned configurations for every change that ever happened for an element, you will have necessary data to be able to recreate the configuration of a past version by rolling back deployment of present version of configuration to a past version of configuration by using the same molecules. If somehow you can create a molecular clone of element then one version can use present configuration and the other set of identical cloned molecules can be rearranged to past configuration to create past version of element.

So you need

1. Configuration Management system that discovers and notes down every minute configuration detail
2. Configuration Database that stores all configurations in a version controlled manner
3. Configuration definition that describes each configuration at molecular level in a software readable form – programmatic form
4. Change Management system that tracks all changes to every smallest of configuration
5. All molecules of the element from the moment the tracking systems started recording data
6. A system to read any configuration version and restructure all molecules accordingly – we can call this as our configuration deployment system
7. Ability to control molecules through the system – something to touch, hold and restructure molecules at the demand of the system reading the configuration and demanding the restructure

If you can use this machine to change all elements in your surrounding without changing you then suddenly the newspaper in your hand will be of a past day, your house will have a decoration of past, your pet dog will come alive, your spouse will become younger. But the ambit of this will be limited to the ambit of items you could track changes of and reverse. Which means when your spouse goes out of your house and sees your neighbor as old as you, then the past memory of your spouse will clash with present reality. It will clash even when you and your spouse meet. because you did not change yourself. If you change yourself too then you will realize the clash when you also will step out of your house and see your neighbor. Your friendly neighbor may then remind you about the time travel you took last night to end up with your past self.

And because of this the ambit of controllable configurations is what we need to consider about travelling to past. For reverting changes to a house of cards is a herculean task by itself. Let alone reverting larger objects and something alive with intricate internal bodily details and changes.

Extremely difficult but entirely possible way of time travel to the past.

How do we travel to future then? Is it possible at all? Your past self seeing the present neighbor is a travel to future for your past self. What about your current self travelling to your future that have never happened?

Not possible. Because it never happened and hence nothing has record of it. But what about the time after this machine is invented. After quite a few times of travel into the past. The version controlled configuration system is now the stationary object that did not change although everything surrounding it changed quite a few times with respect to it – including your self. In the stationary configuration database you can now see multiple future configurations of yourself. You can choose to pick up a future configuration version for you and your controllable surrounding and change your controllable surrounding to a future configuration where you have no memory of the past except the stationary version controlled configuration management system with all versions of past and present configurations.

Question is how plausible is this.

Is there anything in the world that records everything that happens? Is there anything that reads all configurations and all changes? I dont know about the dark places, but for everything else that we can see, we have light reflecting from every piece of it. Light that never is destroyed and travels through space. If we watch the last stages of a supernova that happened millions of years ago through the arrival of the light from it in our present times, are we not observing the past. Is that not the controllable environment for which we received all configuration changes and configuration versions of one linear set of events through the means of emitted and reflected light rays? We are the stationary object being able to visit the past of the supernova.

What is then the video recording of our events? We have created the machine that captures the configuration changes through capturing of light rays. We are able to play, replay our time in the video as we have captured the configurations of the past from a camera point of view. If we could have captured a 3d video, it would be more realistic. It would be more realistic to view the 3d video in 3d and have our body sensors feel the past event.

But still you wont call that travelling to the past because the 3d video is just the configuration management system playing back a configuration version recorded in the configuration database without redeployment of any molecule. Your video also does not have all the details to recreate everything as well. But the system is better than our dream mechanism which does not recall our past memories as accurately as our video recordings.

Also not all part of everything is reflecting light at all times.

For this to work properly light has to be reflected from the object from all corner, For a proof of concept best will be to try it on a tennis ball that is as smooth as possible to not to leave any corner although we know smoothest of rounds are made up of tiniest of corners. the smaller the corners are, the smoother is the surface of the ball. The ball is made up of lets say plastic. Light is then thrown from every side of ball to make sure that light reflects from every part of the ball. Then we can record the reflections through cameras placed at every corner of ball. Considering the ball is solid, there is nothing to record on the inside of it. If cameras are able to note all minute details, then we can now put the ball into a 3d printer as source of plastic which will use the material of the ball to recreate the ball using the information captured by cameras and the 3d printed ball will be built with same material and represent the ball’s past state before melting into plastic. since the cameras are not capturing molecular details, the molecules might be rearranged differently this time but that is only because of lack of configuration data. complete data would have resulted into complete recreation of the ball even to the molecular detail. essentially bringing the ball to it’s past state. The ball being a not so complex object it wont matter even if we dont get molecules right, but for complex alive objects, it would matter dearly – and dont forget not being able to record configurations of internal system of alive objects as light cant reach those places. Maybe we can have something like xray to record internal configuration? Topic of discussion for a later time.

Are we living in days of future past?

Considering how difficult it is and how enormous it is to record all configurations and changes to accurately recreate a controllable environment even by recording all forms of reflected light if and only if all corners of everything is always reflected through light and there is no better configuration management system known yet than the reflected light of objects that can collect all information, I would say that doing a massive scale reset of the world is not possible by a large extent although not completely impossible and hence a configuration version of the world scale does not exist and hence since no past version of world at large exists, no version of future of the world exists either. However, it is possible to have a controlled small environment. Such as an non live object. May even be something of a simple life form translucent to light. Or lets say at some serious distant future we are able to do it for human beings, they will only be able to reset the human being by reorganizing molecule from the moment they started recording. Which means the machine has to exist at the moment when the recording began. Since no such machine exists now, we dont have a future at this point as we are definitely not the past of anyone that has ever been recorded. That is not to say some scientist does not exist in some corner at this point who already has this machine and have already traveled in past making his/her controllable self back in past. He/she has the future for himself/herself in that case. Not for all of us for sure. So if someone says he/she is from future, he/she can be – at least thats what my theory suggests

Can we not visit past since we have not recorded?

We have not recorded, but the light reflected of our past self exists in the world. If we can pick up the reflected light, we can recreate our self if we have the 3d printer machine built to recreate human being. But since not all portion of us has got a reflected light – like the inside of your body, we wont be able to recreate ourselves and hence the recreation wont be alive – it will be a statue without life created with all information found through reflected light. However for visiting past, we dont need to recreate everything. If you are talking about visiting past as a visitor – a viewer, then you need the all reflected lights captured into a video like playable format. just the way a camera captures light and converts into playable video format. You might think that how can you recapture the light that was never captured on camera. Think of that supernova again. We got the light coming from it now when it is no more there for millions of years. We can similarly be able to catch our reflections from a far away planet or galaxy.

Lets say we set up a light capturing camera on mars and then we go to a wide field and the sky does not have clouds, we take a flat paper with a drawing and light up from behind it and point it towards our camera on mars, and then scrap the paper into shreds – what will happen? After approx. 12.5 mins, our camera on mars will see the light ray and capture. We can then play the captured video on mars to view the past of the paper. Same goes for us. If our reflections have been able to travel to space and have not faced any obstacle ever in the path then in a far away galaxy, light ray reflected from our body can be captured. All versions of our past will relay as versions of reflected light to that faraway planet. Our whole unrecorded past will be visible from that planet. You can be on that planet and theoretically if everything goes right, be able to see your forefather whom you have never seen in your real life – quite literately watching your past of which you have no memory – going beyond your ability to dream about your memory of the past in the range of your lifetime. Lets say some dinosaur’s reflected light fortunately escaped into space without any obstruction to that planet, you will be then able to watch the past where dinosaurs roamed. Not some movie creation, but the real past. Just like it happened with the supernova. Key is not loosing the reflected light. You wont be able to interact though even if you have the whole light, as it is just the configuration information and you dont have original material to recreate it.

If original materials of the paper can be sent to mars, the paper with drawing may be recreated from the video on mars. Which is not only travelling in time to retrieve something but also tele-transportation. To get it right for alive beings, molecular detailing is key.

If you dont have the receiver on mars and want to be able to view the past, you have to travel faster than light to surpass the reflected light’s arrival time at a distant location such as mars and then be able to view the past. To see the dinosaur from distant planet you need to similarly create a vehicle that has billion billion billion times more speed than light to reach the planet before light reflected from the dinosaur can reach that planet.

So if einstein said, if you surpass speed of light, you will be able to see past – that is in this way of seeing reflected light. But that wont stop future from happening on earth.

So if einstein said, time and space works together, it is because, the 4th dimension that einstein refers as time is basically rate of change in shape of space i.e. object i.e. element

If you want to travel to future, you need to have the ability to come to past at least once, that means one version of future is the absolute present for one controlled environment and if the controlled environment somehow can be the whole world then only the absolute present of the world can be one version of future for the entire world. Future for one person is more plausible. Future for one non live object is even more plausible. Future for one tiny particle is entirely possible.

Breaking the matter

matter is broken into tiniest particles and tiniest particles are made up of waves created by the continuous creation, movement and destruction of tiniest particles without any stable state resulting in wave properties. Waves such as light waves have fixed velocity in the same rate as the rate of production as the internals are extremely unstable quantam realm particles without any specific direction. the rate of production is equally proportional to existence of waves because the quantum unstable particles destroy each other shortly after production stops. Since they are lacking direction, they can not be pushed without containing them. Containment is not possible because they destroy each other the moment production stops. When you switch of torch, the light goes away immediately as it is unstable.

How light travels in straight line if quantum particles in light wave lack direction?

light wave travels straight since the production of new light wave pushes light wave in front. The wave pulse if directly proportional to speed of light. The particles may destroy over the path reducing light strength, but new produced particles equally distribute over length of light ray to continue to straight line direction. The reason light ray does not bend is because on obstruction, the light particles get completely destroyed and does not try to survive. Sound particles on the other hand are less unstable and hence can bounce of a plane and bounce back in another direction when another sound particle pushes from behind.
